Description of the Product

Rugged, functional, and full of vintage character, the Calder Wooden Task Lamp brings a striking industrial edge to your workspace or reading nook. Crafted from solid wood with an exposed fabric cord and matte black metal hardware, this lamp features a fully adjustable articulating arm. The mechanical, gear-like joints and open metal wire cage shade give it a distinct architectural vibe. Perfect for industrial lofts, rustic home offices, or eclectic bedrooms, Calder marries raw materials with practical task lighting.

Key Highlights

  • Articulating Task Design: Features an adjustable wooden arm with mechanical gear-style knobs, allowing you to direct light exactly where you need it.

  • Mixed Materials: A handsome combination of warm, rustic wood, matte black metal hardware, and an exposed woven cord.

  • Vintage Cage Shade: The open wire cage design perfectly frames the bulb for an authentic retro aesthetic.

  • Perfectly Sized: 55 x 18 x 46 cm

  • Sturdy Base: Anchored by a heavy, solid rectangular wooden block to keep the lamp stable during adjustment.

  • Industrial Appeal: The ultimate statement piece for rustic, industrial, or vintage-inspired interiors.

Complete Product Overview

The Calder Task Lamp is designed for those who appreciate the mechanics of good design. Standing at 55 cm tall, it serves as a highly functional desktop companion or a stylish bedside reading lamp. The exposed hardware, including the prominent hexagonal nuts and gear-shaped tension knobs, celebrates the raw construction of the piece rather than hiding it. Because the wire cage leaves the bulb completely exposed, Calder pairs brilliantly with a warm-toned vintage filament bulb, casting beautiful, graphic shadows and adding an inviting, ambient glow to your room.

Care Instructions

  • Dust Regularly: Wipe the wooden frame and rectangular base with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Use a duster for the metal cage.

  • Adjust with Care: Always loosen the gear knobs slightly before changing the angle of the arm to prevent stripping the wood or the metal hardware.

  • Avoid Moisture: Keep the lamp dry to prevent the metal components from rusting and the wood from warping.

  • Bulb Selection: We highly recommend a decorative Edison-style LED bulb to complete the vintage industrial look.

  • Stable Placement: Ensure the heavy rectangular base is placed on a flat, even desk or table.

Disclaimer

  • Natural Wood Variations: Differences in the wood grain, subtle knots, and rustic textural finishes are inherent to the design and not considered defects.

  • Industrial Finish: The metal hardware and cage may feature intentional, subtle distressing to enhance the vintage aesthetic.

  • Dimensions: Measurements may vary slightly depending on the exact angle and position of the adjustable arm.

  • Bulb Not Included: The bulb shown in the imagery is for styling purposes only.
